A major theme that got me started on this one is the concept of the solitary hero on a dangerous quest.  The keyboard part, which harkens back to archaic video game music, starts in on a minor strain.  The keys melody represents the hero plodding courageously on his journey, lonely and solitary but also determined.  The bass rumbles along like the giant colossi ready to smash him with colossal fists. At times there is a counterpoint: a dance between a giant force and the clever hero.  At times there is struggle.  At times there is hard fought victory.  The bass part is courtesy of Josh Shapiro, a friend and colleague of mine.  Josh did an incredible job!  We threw this together like magic.  I left this track a little unkempt  because it just felt right and natural that way.  I Mixed it up a lot with the drum effects and had some fun there.  If the bass is the Colossi and the Keys are the clever hero, Wander, then the drums are his trusty horse, Agro, galloping along with him: a helpful friend, adaptable but steadfast, through thick and thin.
